Deep inside us, we share similarities: there is always a dream that has been nurtured since childhood. Yet, with ever-increasing demands from an ever-changing society, only few can continue pursuing their perennial dreams. With so many options to explore yet so much pressure to succeed from outside and within oneself, wishful aspirations can always turn into a wishful thought, and plunge into the void forever.

How can one break through their limits to touch the magical spaces of dreams while still in sync with the rapid and inevitable development of the world? In this talk, Truong Anh Ngoc discusses “Shock” - an integral part of personal development that transformed him from a shy writer who gets Imposter Syndrome anywhere but his home to one of the most successful journalists in Vietnam. As a renowned football commentator and journalist for the Vietnamese News Agency, Mr. Truong Anh Ngoc’s career has taken him to many European countries, from reporting the Euro Championship to landing in Brazil for World Cup 2014, Russia for World Cup 2018, and Qatar for World Cup 2022. Until now, he is the first and only Vietnam’s Media Representative for France Football's Ballon d'Or and has gained popularity through his memoirs on the journey of self-discovery and professional endeavors. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
