This video is a bit of an adventure! I've had this cherry log from a neighbor's tree sitting in my garage for a few years, so it's really dry (and cracked). It had been headed for their fireplace, but I grabbed it instead. I wanted to turn a live edge bowl, but it didn't quite go as planned.
I use almost exclusively repurposed or reclaimed wood for my projects. For me there's nothing quite as satisfying as turning garbage into art.
