越ケ谷秋祭り
江戸時代中期の元禄時代から伝わる五穀豊穰を祝う祭
越谷郷の鎮守社である久伊豆神社の例祭（９月２８日・隔年に一度）に祭神様を氏子地域（町内）に設けられたお仮舎にお迎えする神輿渡御行列と、お帰りになる神輿還御行列を旧越ヶ谷八ヶ町の山車八台が供奉して町内を練り歩きます。山車の町内曳廻しは、この２回の行列（渡御・還御）を含め、祭り開催2日間で計６回、他の４回は乱曳（らんびき）といわれ、町内山車が二手に分かれ越谷駅周辺の町内を曳廻します。昔は祭りが賑やかなため「越ヶ谷のばか祭り」とも称せられました。
Koshigaya Autumn Festival
A festival celebrating bountiful harvests that has been passed down since the Genroku period in the mid-Edo period
At the annual festival (once every other year on September 28th) of Hisaizu Shrine, the guardian shrine of Koshigaya-go, eight floats from the eight towns of Koshigaya accompany the portable shrine procession that welcomes the enshrined deity to a temporary shrine set up in the parishioner's area (within the town) and the portable shrine return procession that returns, through the town. The floats are pulled around the town a total of six times over the two days of the festival, including these two processions (Togyo and Kan-gyo), and the other four times are called ranbiki, where the town floats are split into two groups and pulled around the town around Koshigaya Station. In the past, the festival was also called the "Koshigaya Baka Festival" because it was so lively.
