Just randomly discovered that the DLC Thunder Crossbow RZAM has some crazy level of piercing going on, allowing it to pierce through some otherwise solid barrier surfaces.

Being able to hit things through the spider webs makes some missions much easier, as well as letting you deal with the Aranea that choose to hide on the back side of the web.

The other major thing is that it can actually pierce through a shield bearer, though with a bit of a quirk that while you can hit anything through the dome, you can't directly hit the shield bearer itself (though you can still kill it, slowly, with the lightning richochet). The benefits of being able to do this should be pretty obvious.
