On her way to school, Amu is approached by a boy she doesn't immediately recognize.
It turns out to be Seiichiro, one of her biggest fans, whom she had helped in the past.
This summer, the school's students are participating in a choir competition and are busy with rehearsals.
Amu has been chosen as the solo singer, but Seiichiro is noted for his lack of pitch. Marimo, a pianist aspiring to become a professional, then approaches Seiichiro to talk.
Over time, Seiichiro becomes both a friend and confidant to Marimo, who harbors many doubts.
Unfortunately, these doubts eventually lead to the creation of a black egg, forcing Amu to step in while Seiichiro watches in admiration. Initially shy, Seiichiro manages to assert himself and even help someone in need.
But will that be enough to catch Amu's attention?
