MURDER-accused Bailey has insisted he’s not a danger to women - despite his history of domestic violence.

Speaking to ‘Shattered Lives’, Bailey was challenged on his prior history of assaulting his former partner Jules Thomas and allegations that he previously threatened witness Maria Farrell.

However, the former journalist, who is now set to launch his own podcast, insisted to us that he is not a danger to the women of Ireland when asked.

Bailey was convicted in his absence in a French court of the murder of Sophie Toscan Du Plantier at her holiday home in Schull on December 23, 1996 - a charge he denies.

Paul Healy speaks at length to Mr Bailey in a feature-length interview today.

Shattered Lives is produced for Reach Ireland by Ciaran Bradley.
