Saline solution for lubrication.
Oxygen source and delivery device.

Positioning:
Place the patient in a comfortable and accessible position, usually semi-Fowler's.
Ensure proper lighting for visualization.

Check Equipment:
Ensure the suction machine is functioning properly.
Connect the catheter to the tubing.
Test the suction pressure using a gloved hand.

Hand Hygiene:

Preoxygenation:

Post-Suctioning:

Document:

Cleaning and Disposal:
Turn off the suction machine and dispose of used materials properly.
