Fire Control received numerous calls to smoke issuing from a property at the above location, control immediately mobilised 3 appliances from Shepton Mallet, Glastonbury and Wells along with a supporting officer.
Fire Control further mobilised an Aerial Ladder Platform which came from Yeovil due to further calls stating flames were issuing from the roof.
Whilst on route to this incident crews confirmed there was a large plume of black smoke issuing.
Once on scene crews made for pumps 5 for water with the additional crews coming from Wincanton and Somerton as well as the Command Support vehicle from street.
Crews confirmed that this incident has been sectorised into 2 sectors with multiple attack jets in use and the Aerial Ladder Platform being used as a water tower.
Crews have requested the attendance of a water carrier which has come from Bridgwater.

Crews have made steady progress and are continuing to dampen down hotspots externally.

This was a fire fully involving a derelict building of pre fab construction measuring approximately 20Metres x 30Metres the building was 100% destroyed by fire, crews used 2 Breathing Apparatus, 2 45mm Attack Jets, 2 Hose Reel Jets, 2 Ground Monitors a Thermal Imaging Camera The Aerial Ladder Platform and the Water Carrier. 2 LPG cylinders were removed and cooled. The fire is believed to have been deliberat
