In ancient China, there’s a history of people wearing vests to keep warm during seasonal changes. It was believed that hanfu vest was first developed around 2,000 years ago and later doubled as a fashion statement as time went on.

Hanfu vests went through several stages during its long history and have been called many different names, including Bijia (比甲) Banbi (半臂) Beixin (背心) etc.

Hanfu, meaning Han Chinese Clothing, or as I'd like to call it Han Couture, is what ancient Chinese people wore for thousands of years.

Traditional Chinese Clothes changed from dynasty to dynasty and there exists hundreds of variations.
