Lois Lane is ferocious as a powerless human, but can you imagine what she'd be capable of with the powers of a Superwoman?

Original Text: Technically, the first "#Superwoman" was Lois Lane. As my #SupermanAnalogue for today, let's talk about the romantic opposite to Superman.
A convention of Superman comics has been his friends and loved once temporarily gaining super powers of some kind. Lois is no exception and gained them several times over the years. Sometimes this was used to set her up as Superman's equal, other times to flip the role.
Sometimes this also happened to her rival, Lana Lang, and you can bet your ass that I'm going to discuss her too!
It was such a trooper of the series that Grant Morrison covered it in All-Star Superman, where we emphasized how compelling the underlining person was, regardless of the powers.
There was also a nod to it in Supreme a few years earlier, under Alan Moore. Not to feed into that particular rivalry with Morrison...
Due to the animated adaptation of All Star, we got an animated version of this Superwoman as well.
Outside of that, we've seen Lois a lot. She's essential to the Superman mythos. Here, the powers are a lens by which to reassess the character, rather than a defining part. That's why role reversals are interesting.
Lois is a version of the best of humanity, as a person who challenges Superman. This was well covered in the classic movies.
And as always, we got one of the best versions in the animated series.
In the more recent movies, she hasn't as well defined her necessity to the story, but has remained a compelling figure.
Smallville probably made the best argument for the character, establishing early on how important all the facets of humanity Lois Lane represents (cunning, grace, curiosity, warmth, charm, empathy, inspiration) is by seeing what people who fulfill some of that but not all.
Anyway, Lois Lane has been a Superman level being time and time again, but she's important because of her humanity.
