When I practice to do one of my drum solo workouts, I use all of the new drum techniques I have learned to try out new idea`s on what to play. My finger control which you can see in this video that my left hand, wrist, or fingers are not moving when I do the fast single stroke roll is a winner for me. I have tried out new ways of playing just the cymbals which sounds so cool. Also playing a single bass drum pedal using my heel down technique which I can control so well. I`m playing on my classic Slingerland Big Band kit with the 24 inch bass drum, 9x13 inch tom, two 16x16 inch floor toms, and the amazing 5.5x14 inch Slingerland TDR snare drum with the straight edge hoops. All drums with a wide open tuning to hear the natural sound of each drum. I`m an old school drummer who has learned from the great artist from the past like Buddy Rich, Joe Morello, Louie Bellson, Sonny Payne, and of course Gene Krupa. To see me play these very drums with my Ken Loomer Big Band, check this video out    • Swinging Up Tempo "Wind Machine" Ken ...
