On Saturday Oct 21st 2023, a crew from the Kerang Museum travelled over to Runnymede, just out of Elmore in northern Victoria to begin the process of transporting back to Kerang the iconic Ford Railmotor which was used on the Kerang-Koondrook Tramway back in the 1950s.

The front part which is basically a modified 1943 Ford V8 truck chassis was loaded and brought back to the museum. Two weeks later, the second part of this process will occur when the carriage section is trucked back to Kerang for restoration. The tram had been purchased by tender from Victorian Railways when it retired from service in 1958 and had been located on the farm there ever since.
