Lattice card
Irresistible Blooms SU
I have really appreciated learning how to make this fun-fold card. I don’t make many fun-fold cards but this one was worth learning how to make it. Dare I say Challenging but Fun?

CARD RECIPE

Step 1
Thick white card-stock 4 1/4 w x 11 L scored at 5 1/2. Card size is 4 1/4 w x 5 1/2 L top fold.

Step 2
Cut off from the FRONT bottom 3 1/2”. Your FRONT of card will measure 4 1/4 w x 2” L. The cut off piece we will use to make the slats on lattice.

Step 3
Using the 3 1/2 x 4 1/4 remaining piece of white cardstock cut 1/2” strips. Your strips will measure 1/2 x 4 1/4. You will have 7 pieces of strips.

Step 4
Using DESIGNER SERIES PAPER (DSP) 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 glue inside of card. This will give you contrast to the white lattice.

Step 5
Assemble the lattice
- using the inside of the card as a guide, place 5 strips horizontally (left to right) spaced evenly in empty spot of front of card (the part that you cut off). Make sure to line it up with bottom of card. Leaving approx 1/8” between strips.
- Hint … If you have low tacky tape let the tape help you to keep the strips in place. I used a stamping glass block to hold my horizontal strips in place while I glued the vertical pieces on top of horizontal pieces.
- Use the 2 remaining strips of cardstock 1/2 x 4 1/4 to glue VERTICALLY (top to bottom) on to the horizontal lattice strips attaching to the main FRONT card base (4 1/4 x 2). I spaced it about 1/4” from both left and right side of card. I put a dot of liquid glue on each of horizontal strips left and on right side about 3/8” in where the vertical strip will lay on top of lattice.
- The VERTICAL strip should hang over the base card and be attached to the base card.

Step 6
Decorate front of card
- I used the die cut flowers (3) and leaves (3) from Hello Irresistible dsp to attach to the lattice. This can be done with glue or dimensionals. I used dimensionals for flowers and very carefully liquid glue for leaves taking care it was only attached to the lattice and nothing seeped out of the lattice that could glue on to the inside of card not allowing it to open.
- I splattered the front of card with black ink from my blends to give it some extra appeal.

Step 7
Stamp sentiment

Step 8
- wink of Stella on flowers
- Dot enamels and brass butterflies.

Step 9
Inside card above the lattice there is space for additional sentiment or written greeting. To make the card a bit sturdier I added a scrap of white cardstock a smidge smaller than 4 1/2 x 2 (about an eighth smaller). In that piece of cardstock I stamped an additional sentiment.
Card done.
