Adobe After Effects CC 2024: How To Add Audio Effects & Sound Presets

This tutorial will show you how to add Audio Effects & Sound Animation Presets to create a helicopter & telephone sound effects in Adobe After Effects CC 2024.

Keyboard Shortcuts:
New Adjustment Layer (Opt/Alt + Cmd/Ctrl + Y)
Trim Layer to the right of CTI (Opt/Alt + Right Open Bracket)
Trim Layer to the left of CTI (Opt/Alt + Left Open Bracket)
Reveal All Keyframes (U)

Audio Effects Used (Helicopter):
Tone (White Noise)
Modulator

Sound Effects Animation Presets (Phone):
Call Adobe
Ringing Phone-US

How To Create Helicopter Audio Effect:
1. Create New Composition
2. Add New Adjustment Layer (Rename to SFX)
3. Drag CTI to the beginning of the Timeline
4. Select Adjustment Layer
5. Go to Effect Menu at the top
6. Select ‘Tone’
7. Go back to Effect Menu at the top
8. Select ‘Modulator’
9. Go to ‘Effect Controls’
10. Change ‘Waveform Options’ to ‘White Noise’
11. Change ‘Modulation Type’ to ’Triangle’
12. Change ‘Modulation Rate’ to 10
13. Change ‘Modulation Depth’ to 75%
14. Change ‘Amplitude Modulation’ to 75%
15. Tap SpaceBar to Preview



How To Create Dial & RingTone Sound Effect Presets:
1. Create New Composition
2. Add New Adjustment Layer (Rename to Dial)
3. Add New Adjustment Layer (Rename to Ring)
4. Drag CTI to the beginning of the Timeline
5. Select Adjustment Layer
6. Go to Effects & Presets Panel
7. Twirl open Animation Presets
8. Twirl open Presets
9. Twirl open Sound Effects
10. Select ‘Call Adobe’ and double-click
11. Tap U to Reveal All Keyframes
12. Drag CTI past last keyframe and trim to the right (Opt/Alt + Right Bracket)
13. Select Adjustment Layer 2
14. Go back to Sound Effects folder
15. Select ‘Ringing Phone US’
16. Double-click to add to Adj. Layer
17. Trim to the left of CTI (Opt/Alt + Left Bracket)
18. Tap SpaceBar to Preview.
