This video shows excerpts from two evergreen dance-works of choreographer NARENDRA SHARMA. Costumes in both dances were designed by JAYANTI SHARMA.

RANGAVALI is a short dance that was made in 1973, a year after Bhoomika was established. Premiered at IFACS Delhi, this dance is an invocation and celebration of India's national flag - the three colors and the chakra.
Music: Moni Dass

HANS BALAKA was first choreographed as a student by late choreographer in 1940 at the famous Almora School of Uday Shankar in Uttarakhand. As part of composition class, this dance work later went through several variations over decades. Current one was made in 1979 when Bhoomika's professional dance company was set up.This dance is an ode to the flight of Siberian Cranes - their annual journey across continents in winters to India and back.
Music: Sushil Das Gupta
