Recorded on Tuesday, September 8, 2020. This is a monthly tornado siren test of the Tift County, GA Emergency/Civil Defense Siren System. This siren is tested at the second Tuesday of every month at 2:00 PM ET. Me and Brendan filmed this siren. This siren is a 1982 Federal Signal C-series Thunderbolt 1000BT with 4M blower (set on chopper 5). This siren was installed in early summer 2020 and replaced a finback Whelen Vortex (old Vortex is currently laying on the ground at Jeb's siren shop, as of Sept 8, 2020). This siren started about 15 minutes late (county forgot to test, I had to Facebook message them to remind them to test the sirens, they were nice to still test them). This is a first official video of one of Tift County's sirens. Tift County has a system of 3 ACA Screamers (1 doesn't work), Thunderbolt 1000BT (this siren), Model 2[T]s (all Model 2[T]s currently not working), ACA Banshee (inactive), and FS 2001-130s. This siren was refurbished by Jeb (McCranie Warning Systems) in 2020. This siren was originally a 1000B installed in York County, SC as a Catawba Nuclear Station nuclear siren. Siren was removed and replaced with a 2001-SRN from York Co. in the 1990's and this siren sat on the ground in Chester County, SC for about 20-28 years in storage outside until summer 2018 Jeb obtained it. This siren was converted from a 1000 to 1000T cause of costumer's choice. Sorry about the second camera out of shot. I had to set up the cameras quickly because of me arrived at this siren later than normal. And sorry about the audio cut off during the middle of the test, it was due to camera trimmed the excessive long video as a separate clip.
