Ayyy nice, another one from sivert ;)
What we had here is a top down view micromachines style track but he added some pew pew and boom boom effects turning the game into a space shooter. The idea was for him to emulate a DOS game called TYRIAN and if you look at it and how it compares you can see where his inspiration came from, even adding the music from the game into the track.
As per gameplay wise.... you just run in a top down view, avoiding obstacles I guess, the game shoots automatly and goes like an interactive cutscene. You can do so much with trackmania tools but even with the limitations, you can do some creative and unique stuff like this one, I highly recommend to try yourself.

I feel that 2008 was the year sivert released his most creative works, but didn't get the same amount of atention his 2007 works had, maybe because everyone was more focused in nations forever or the united community winded down but I think it's a shame because of tracks like this that still did well...43 awards is respectable after all but I feel it could be more.

This one has some personal importance because this is the track that inspired me to build my most famous track of all time, chicken invaders and despite me adding its own twist to it I basically did like sivert on the idea of emulating another game and I own the massiv success of that track thanks to his work.

As per effects, a few pictures sounds and music compacted into a mediapack you could fit in a 1.4mb disquette are all made avaliable to download on our discord server so make sure to join us to experience many more classics

The skin I used is called F-Zero Black and I have no idea where I got from and who made it. There are some F-Zero skins in maniapark you can use, I just used one I already had in my files but any of these work fine for tracks like this
