At the 2016 GRAMMYs, Lin-Manuel Miranda and the cast of Hamilton won Best Musical Theater Album. Miranda accepted the award in full costume and delivered his speech as a rap, including referencing his musical influences (from The Roots to Jeanine Tesori) and ended with a sweet message to his son: "Sebastian, Daddy's bringing home a GRAMMY for you."
