Hello in this video I documented my work machining a New stronger gauntry base plate for my 6040 cnc router. For which I mounted hgr25 linear rails in the previous video.

I used my little homebuildt minimill. It was more work than I thought to machine the New gauntry baseplate since the workpiece was much larger than not Only my travel but also the milling table. I constantly had to move the workpiece. in total, I needed to drill and counter bore 16 holes for the hgh25 linear rails blocks.

End result was very Good, and I feel that I learned alot during the Making of the part.

Not to many original parts left now on the 6040, so this is turning more and more towards a diy cnc project...
