This production features the former railways of the Blue Mountains, NSW, that have been either abandoned or converted into a tourist railway. The most prominent is the single-track Great Western Railway, which has largely been incorporated into today's double-track Main Western Line. Because many of the original stations like Mt Victoria and Springwood were part of the original line, they have been included in the film with scenes of ordinary commuter trains servicing these locations.
