This was just a small exploration of this part of the Lecale Way, to get a feel for it, and see what state the trails were in. It was a fantastic day, with plenty of texture, between the change in landscape and the encounters with other people. I plan on doing more of the Lecale Way, which has about 4 or 5 sections to it, leading from Downpatrick to Newcastle. I have already walked pieces of it over the years, but it would be nice to walk the whole route, maybe wild camping with a few b&bs thrown in.
