So, I fixed the issue outside FIRST, but wanted to be proactive and I figured hydraulic cement may be able to help!
Waterproofing the outside of my basement was key, but with a 120-year-old house, a little extra protection on the inside can't hurt. In this video, I'm showing you how I used hydraulic cement to patch some damp spots in the basement floor as a preventative measure.
Important Note: Hydraulic cement is a great tool, but it's not a magic solution! You should always address the source of the leak first.
This video is perfect for:
DIY beginners who want to learn how to use hydraulic cement
Homeowners with older basements who want to take preventative measures
Anyone who wants to learn the importance of addressing the root cause of a leak
