We went to the UniverSoul Circus yesterday for the first time with my cousin who has been going since they started coming to Michigan when her daughter was three. It was kind of funny that none of my crew had never been and this was the first year that someone from her crew was missing. Were we the replacements???

I don't feel slighted if we were. Having the opportunity to spend time with family and create memories is something that I look forward to.

On a side note, I was slightly disappointed with the minimal amount of animals they had there even though I feel incredibly conflicted about animals being in the circus... maybe a discussion for another time.
