Hello and welcome back to the channel and the fourth video in the Bolt Action Basics series. In this video, we are going to be looking at two important core mechanics – pinning and morale tests.

Pinning is an important factor to consider in games of Bolt Action as pinning units makes it difficult for your opponent to be able to move and control their units. Essentially, it represents units being under fire and not reacting to being giving orders. Effective use of pinning in Bolt Action is a sure way of affecting your opponent’s plans!

The second mechanics that we will look at in the video is taking morale tests. When the casualties start to mount up, a unit will be severely tested and may break and flee the battlefield. Just like pinning, causing your opponent’s units to have to take morale tests is another way to disrupt their plans and ultimately win the game.
