My life with trees ...They've always been my totem in the plant world, helping me understand that we're all part of the web of life. I was inspired to write this by (and arranged it for) Clay Giberson's composition, "Common Ground," with Clay on piano and John Nastos, soprano sax. And a forest is the literal 'common ground,' where trees share nutrients through a network of roots, sustaining each other.
