Welcome to Collingswood NJ!

In this video South Jersey real estate agent Pip visits Collingswood NJ, known for its fabulous downtown of amazing stores and restaurants, its historical architecture, its proximity to some great parks, and, unfortunately for people wanting to move there, its rising home prices! If you would like to know more about the town, or perhaps you are looking to buy or sell in Collingswood, then πŸ“² call or text Pip at 609-500-9733 πŸ“²

This charming artsy borough in Camden County was incorporated in 1888. The land in what is present day Collingswood was originally inhabited by Lenni Lenape Native Americans.

What we now know as Collingswood was mostly a farm owned by members of the Collings family during 18th and 19th centuries. Now, it is 1.95 square miles, with just over 14,000 residents and around 6,822 homes.

Collingswood's retail district is anchored by the awesome Haddon Ave, which is home to many different types of businesses, including our fave restaurants! Haddon Ave is one straight line through Collingswood, Haddonfield, Haddon Township and more, connecting all of these great South Jersey towns together. Also running between these three towns is the PATCO, that'll take you right into Center City Philly.

Collingswood Public Schools serve students pre-kindergarten through to twelfth grade.

As of 2019, the district comprised of 7 schools: James A. Garfield Elementary, Mark Newbie Elementary, Thomas Sharp Elementary, William P. Tatem Elementary, Zane North Elementary, Collingswood Middle and Collingswood High.

Collingswood has a thriving downtown with some wonderful historical and unique stores, events and markets, including:

β€’ Collingswood Bookfest
β€’ Collingswood Farmer's Market
β€’ Collingswood PorchFest
β€’ East Coast Calligraphy β€” for all your stationary needs
β€’ Everette Wilson Designs β€” home decor for days
β€’ Haddon Culinary for all your grocery shopping
β€’ Hearthside β€” absolutely delicious appetizers!
β€’ Ida's Bookshop β€” best books around!
β€’ June BYOB β€” delicious French cuisine
β€’ Maria's Bread Sandwiches β€” don't skip on their chicken salad sandwich 🀀
β€’ Sabrina's Cafe β€” best brunch in town!
β€’ Songbird Karaoke β€” for the most fun ever!
β€’ Upcycle Fitness β€” everyone's favorite fitness studio!

And if that's not enough for you, the Collingswood PATCO is right behind downtown, and will take you into Center City Philadelphia in just 10 minutes, all for $2.60!

Fun fact: Collingswood is actually a dry town, a residual law from its Quaker history. But you'll find most restaurants are BYOB β€” so bring your favorite drinks to dinner! In 2015 the town introduced an ordinance that allowed craft breweries to operate in the town (but not serve food), and you'll find a brewery at the west end of Haddon Ave, just seconds from The Collings at the Lumberyard apartments and the Lumberyard Condominuims.
