As a non-traditional medical student (ie someone who wasn't a pre-med major and didn't intend on medicine being their original career) you might be afraid that you don't have what it takes to make it through medical school given your different background. But as a non traditional student myself (engineering background), I can tell you that while it may be hard at first, it will ultimately set you apart and give you a valuable set of skills and life experiences that will serve you well in medical school and your future career as a doctor.
