TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS.
The mezcala bridge is a suspension bridge in the city of Martir Cuilapan, Guerrero, Mexico on the Balsas River (known in this region as Mezcala). Specifically, it is located at kilometer 221 of "The Sun Highway" (95D) connecting to the city of Cuernavaca in the state of Morelos with Acapulco, in Guerrero state coast.
The total length of the bridge is 911 m with a main span of 311 m three-masted suspended by straps. 911 m extends along and reaches 20 m in width. The bridge has two main spans and a height of 160 m.
It is the second highest in Mexico, the second in Latin America and number 21 in the world.
The suspension bridge "Mezcala-Solidarity" was inaugurated in March 1993.
