Join George and John as they discuss and debate different Philosophical ideas. Today they will be looking into the works of Soren Kierkegaard and his ideas around the 3 Stages of Life.
Kierkegaard believed all individuals were on a path to discovering their true self, however in order to achieve this they needed to pass through 3 stages, The Aesthetic, The Ethical and The Religious. This Existential approach to life allows everyone to create their own subjective truth, and once the individual has passed through the 3 stages they are complete and they are their true selves.
Watch as George and John discuss this further, looking at the strengths and weaknesses of the theory.
