This video touches on the everyday life of Pakistani's. I show the transportation by rickshaw, the food markets, and the home of Pakistani peoples. In every place I am, whether on the streets, in the markets, or at home, people always treat me with respect and kindness, but the media would have you think the opposite. Please throw away and preconceived ideas you have about Pakistan and its people, and look at Pakistan through fresh eyes.

In Lahore, Pakistan, my host family is the most generous and hospitable people I've met in my life. To return the favor, I visit the Sunday Market and help out with the shopping and then help prepare food at home. The food here is the best food I've eaten in my life. I am shocked and touched by how much my host family goes out of their way to make me feel at home here.

The food culture in Pakistan is one of sharing. During breakfast and dinner, we always sit on the floor in a circle and pass the food around to each other. Typically people eat with their hands not silverware, which is not as unsanitary as you think. If anything it cultivates the connection with food, and the connectivity with your family.

The current situation in Pakistan is dire. People are in need of help due to the flooding caused by global warming. Pakistani's are paying the price for our overconsumption.
