TIDRADIO H8 GMRS is designed for GMRS transmit only, if you use their Odmaster app for your smartphone, it will not allow for programming to transmit out of the GMRS bands. However, if you program the radio using the keypad, you can in fact get it to transmit on Amateur Radio frequencies. This is a demo on how to use the keypad to program the radio to transmit and receive on amateur bands.
BONUS: You can apparently program it for MURS as well.
The radio is available on Amazon for about $60 and is the H8 GMRS.
