This is one of my favourite figures, and a good example of a figure that only works in Cuban Salsa with forward walking dance mode. The Follow needs to walk forward on all steps. Just one back-step and the Coca-Cola Walk falls apart just as it is the case with many others of the very best figures.

This Coca-Cola Walk is not easy, it takes practice to keep the momentum going with a smooth and elegant look and feel. I have known the figure for a long time, but I have first started training it recently because it takes Follows fit for fight. We are progressing but still with room for improvements!

There are several ways to start the Coca-Cola Walk. The easiest is to use the Half Sombrero from Caída Position, I use it in three of the four video clips. The full Sombrero is a good alternative but not the common Vacilala Sombrero. It locks the Follow's left arm in. We need to use the less known Enchufla Sombrero with crossed handhold, Lead's left hand on top.

In Video Clip #2 of the video, I start with Sombrero but without putting the hat on. Instead I continue with the crossed handed Enchufla and put the hat on. This gives us a Sombrero where the Follow's left arm is free to be taken down again.

There are several ways for the continuation of the Coca-Cola Walk. I like to end the move turning the Follow contra with right turns in order for her to recover from the Coca-Cola left turns fast.

Most Follows have problems doing the Coca-Cola Walk. A recommend to "educate" the Follows slowly by adding more and more turns as they get used to them. The textbook is to use three turns, and it works the best in most situations. To some pieces of music four turns work well, but four turns can often be one turn to many, both for the Follow and for the look and feel of the figure.
