I've been wanting to ride Honikiwi Rd on a bike since I rode it for the first time on my Motorbike about yrs ago. I've had a 2 attempts on a push bike, the first time we ran out of time, the second time was on a tour on the tandem and the tyre split, so a friend had to rescue us. This time we made it. It was everything I hoped it would be.
This ride is in complete contrast to the last ride. Gone are the lovely rolling hills of farmland. We have a steep broken country where we were either going up or down'
