After a dry lightning storm rolled through, hotshot crews were patrolling the northeastern part of the state when they spotted a new start out on some pretty rugged high desert land. There was no road to where the fire was, but they made the decision to go for it anyways and were able to not only get to the fire, but get it stopped before it turned into a major event.
Unfortunately their truck lost a few tires and damaged a couple of rims in the process, so when a backup crew arrived with a side by side fire rig, they brought the Ram 5500 back out to the staging area so that I could pick it up with the rollback and haul it to tire shop so it could get repaired.
