This was a very special experience for me. He was almost 4 years old when I took the video I hatched him and Juliet on 6/10/13. They started eating out of my hand at 2 days old. I could hold them when they were young but they weren't very comfortable so I would just spend time with them and feed them by hand. After Romeo matured he started letting me pet him once in while when he was up on the porch railing or fence during the breeding season. This was the first time he let me pet him on the ground. I was doing chores and just happened to have my phone with me so I took the video for my family to see. I am very proud of Romeo. Some peacocks are aggressive. He has never shown any aggression toward anybody. He may chase a chicken once in a while, especially our roosters but he has never injured any. On August 17, 2017, Juliet successfully hatched 3 babies so Romeo is now a daddy. Very special. I took 4 years but well worth the wait.
