this song was written last 2017 shortly before i was diagnosed with anxiety and depression. it was as if the Lord knew (ofcourse He knew) that I was going to need it in the coming months…and indeed, the coming months became more overwhelming for me.

no matter how much i tried to be at peace, my mind was in constant chaos every minute of everyday. [i was doing my Master’s thesis during this time and was not able to concentrate every time i tried to write.] it was hard to look at people in the eye because i saw myself as a failure. i felt like a burden to everyone around me. i know that i have been struggling with this for years but this was only the time i sought for help. i was afraid of disappointing the people that i love so i tried keeping it all together but it became too much.

this was also the year that i came to know more the personal and intimate Jesus people kept talking about. the Prince of Peace that I had written became MY PRINCE OF PEACE. He was not in my imagination after all. He was with me during that time and He still is. He hugs me and calms me with His love everytime i have a panic attack. He also has surrounded me with a loving family, church, and friends that made me believe in Him more.

i pray that this song would introduce people to the Prince of Peace and that God would speak to you in a personal way through this song. He loves you and calls you by name and wants to be personal with you. He is not angry with you. Please remember that every time your thoughts tell you otherwise.
