On 15th April 2024 a special lesson about PFAS, perfluorinated alkylated substances, was held by professor Giuseppina Meo for a class of the technical high school Omar in Novara (Italy) as part of the activities of the CCDE project.
Professor Meo explained what are #PFAS, a large group of #synthetic #chemicals used in consumer products since about 50s. They don’t degrade easily in the environment and cause serious health problems to people and animals who repeatedly exposed to them.
This is one of the piloting #education activities of the Circular Chemistry in the Digital Era project organized by CSCI - Consorzio Scuola Comunità Impresa based in #Novara.
