This is an animated feature done for school. The band was performing the song Yellow for Art Spark and this animation was playing on a big screen while they played :3 It was done in literally two and a half days, so excuse the rather poor quality. It's definitely not a very good showcase of what I can do, it was so rushed ;_;

I'll be getting a real animation up soon. MNKL episode one is almost done c:

Anyways, I didn't have too much time to really think out a way to lay the story out well enough for it to make sense without dialogue and more screenplay. So, if you didn't catch exactly what happened, here:

The cat and dog are best friends. They are playing, and the cat falls into the road. The dog sees a car coming, and runs out to grab the cat and get them out of the way. They both get hit. The scene changes to a young boy, living in a world of gray and black (I kept a little color, tried to tone it down to look more dull than the girl we see later's world of yellow. It's not consistent, sorry about that, I had to rush with backgrounds and too often forgot about this concept ^^"). Then we go back to the cat, who wakes up in a pound. He's still unconscious, and has faint memories of the crash scene that happened before. The boy passes the pound on his walk. He goes inside, and immediately sees this bright yellow cat. The cat takes a liking to the little boy of black (this was supposed to be because he reminded the cat of the dog, in a subconscious way. The cat and dog don't remember each other after the crash). The boy steals the cat from the pound. Then we cue back to the dog, who wakes up in a field with a young girl in a world of yellow (aaanndd the dog takes a liking to her because she reminds him of the cat [again subconsciously i guess]). The dog is still weak from his injuries in the car accident, of course, and the girl comforts him. They go for a walk. The dog looks at the girl and sees the cat, and is confused. He doesn't know why he remembers a cat, he still doesn't know who he is. The cat and the boy are watching the stars, and the cat has a flashback of sorts and sees the dog, but he doesn't know who the dog is either. They both feel the scars on their heads, and remember the car hurdling at them. The boy sees the cat looks pained, and he comforts him, and the girl sees and comforts the dog. We then see that the four are in the same place, only in two different worlds (or dimensions, I suppose). The cat and the boy play in the field, and the dog and the girl do also. The dog falls, and hitting his head again and remembering the incident, and gets very upset, then he remembers the cat. The cat scrapes a line in the dirt, and it comes out yellow, even though he is in the world of black. He too remembers the incident, and remembers how the dog ran across the road and grabbed him, and how he was frantic for the dog to get out of harms way, but they were both hit. They both turn, realizing they must be somewhere...they must both be alive. They run to where near the accident was. They reach the hill they'd been watching the stars on. They are shown in the world of black and the world of yellow, in the same spot, but in two different worlds, trapped away from each other. They can smell each other, and the dog begins to tear away at the barrier between worlds. The cat sees the barrier begin to rattle, and he begins to tear at it too. The boy sees the cat's struggles, and the girl watches the dog in awe. The boy decides to help, and punches against the slightly shattered barrier, and busts it. They four enter a middle world, where the color returns and they are all united. The dog and cat have a reunion and the boy and girl meet. They all watch the stars together.
