Altura Wide angle and Macro lens attachment - for Sony AX53 4K Handycam

The 55MM Altura Wide Angle and Macro Lens for the Sony AX53 4K Handycam video camera. In a nut-shell, I would highly recommend this lens attachment for your Sony 4K video cam. For such an affordable price, with still a good quality lens, why not? There are some cons. But also enough pros. They are:

55MM 0.43x Altura Photo Professional HD Wide Angle Lens (w/Macro Portion)
PROS:
1) Macro, close up videos of insects, rocks or objects!
The Sony AX53 native lens does not allow good macro video - with the Altura 55mm attachment lens, it’s great!
2) Landscape videography (Landscape photography)
The Altura lens gives a wider field of angle and even a slight fish-eye effect. Better then the native lens
3) Sports video analysis
with the wide angle, you can get more of the soccer pitch or football field in view. Perfect for getting an overview shot or for video taping an entire match for trainers to look at more closely.

NEGATIVES:
1) Zoom function will get more difficult. With attachment on, it’s primarily for wide open shooting, wide angle or macro
2) Wildlife or sports action shots. Great for an overview, not perfect for getting close in on the action and following it
3) Fully open, you will see the round edges of the lens in the video. You can zoom in one notch and it’s gone and still a wider field of view. So not really a true negative. I kind of like the effect of the lens view!
