The medina of Marrakesh, a labyrinthine quarter from the Middle Ages, offers various leisure activities in the Jamaa el Fna square and in the souks (markets), where ceramic objects, jewelery and metal lamps are sold. The Kasbah of the Oudaïas in the capital Rabat is a 12th-century royal fortress overlooking the sea.
