Happy National Ceiling Fan Day! I believe this is once again the largest display yet, with 39 operational fans shown, inclusive of the one installed in the studio.

For the nerds who care about all the logistics: This year I really tried to cut the time down by condensing shots using more strategic positioning paired with new equipment and focusing on the parts that I know show better, while also trying to bring in more variety to the wider display shots. I was able to put the pace well ahead of past years, but I also didn't have any crazy long spindown pieces up, so that additionally helped trim the overall length. I also cut any narration intro because I didn't feel like I had much to say in that regard. It basically took an entire day to record everything; creating this video always takes stamina and involves a lot of frustration. Extremely difficult to get the walking shots correct in as single of a take as possible, and the more fans there are, the harder it gets. One wrong move or something missed ruins the entire take. Per usual, I think I had to redo every take at least once, if not several times. As mentioned, first time using some of the equipment for this style of video. Much of the footage is more stable and smoother than ever before with better audio quality, but a few things didn't quite frame up the way I expected, which is why a few shots seem a bit crooked if you look for them. I'm also always looking for just the right balances and coloration for the camera; this space is very difficult to achieve the proper lighting to show each individual fan at its best. As always, I had to make a few creative cuts around/simply accept some problematic operation, but some mysterious problem ALWAYS arises during recording despite best efforts to mitigate beforehand (check out Vlog 44 for behind the scenes!). Just nitpicking myself at this point, but I'm always working and trying to make these videos the best they can be, and I do think this is one of the best so far across the board.
