St Peter & St Paul’s church, North Curry (inside) – La iglesia de San Pedro y San Pablo en Curry Norte (adentro)

The church is Norman in origin, with the lower stages of tower, transepts and nave being built around 1300. Only the north doorway survives from the original church built by Bishop Reginald Fitz Jocelin. In the 14th century the upper stage of the tower was added and in 1502 the chancel was rebuilt, the porch added and the walls of clerestory raised.

La iglesia es de origen normando, y las partes inferiores de la torre, los transeptos y la nave se construyeron hacia 1300. De la iglesia original, construida por el obispo Reginald Fitz Jocelin, sólo se conserva la portada norte[2]. En el siglo XIV se añadió la parte superior de la torre y en 1502 se reconstruyó el presbiterio, se añadió el pórtico y se elevaron los muros del claristorio.
