The Mirage opened at 12:00 pm on November 22, 1989. It's signature attraction was an erupting artificial volcano, providing free entertainment to pedestrians infront of the Resort Hotel.
Hard Rock bought The Mirage from MGM Resorts International for approximately $1.08 billion in an acquisition that closed in January 2023.
