This is a 1976 TR6. Last year built with all the improvements over the years. Low miles yet the mount was cracked all the way through. Classic break well documented by many. I was a bit shocked to see it though. I firmly believe all our cars will do this no matter what. Therefore if you have not checked yours do it.

Mine was cracked but no damage to anything else. Check your pin mount on the top carefully for further damage. We filled crack and added four reinforcing plates to the brackets. This boxes the mounts in solid.

I had a mobile welder come to the house. It was extremely difficult finding someone that didn’t want a gazillion dollars. Total time to prep. Fix crack. Install four plates and clean up was two hours. I ended up in an act of desperation reaching out to a Triumph Group on FB with my frustration. A father and son team decided to help me. The son does welding for his business. I owe them a lot.
