The Flatirons are Boulder’s most iconic rock formations, which are made up of beautiful, slanted, reddish-brown sandstone that also make up a portion of Boulder’s foothills on the west side of town. I highly recommend hiking the Flatirons whenever visiting Boulder, Colorado.
