this is a very brief video and is intended for those whom follow Japanese steam streamliners, pictures were scanned from my books.

the Japanese South Manchurian Railway Mantetsu Pashina Class パシナ engine パシナ981 later on the engine was renumbered in Mantetsu's 1938 general renumbering to engine パシナ12 and was a different version to the other eleven engines from this Pashina Class パシナ numbered パシナ1 to パシナ11. After experiments in the Kawanishi Aircraft Company's wind tunnel testing facilities the shape of this engine was then redesigned to improve the engines top speed capabilities, the engine was then built in Japan in 1936 by Kawasaki & was then tested on the South Manchurian Railway network & a top speed of 106mph was reached.
