Capstan Medical has been developing an interventional robotic system that may be one of the early unlocks to how a larger part of the population becomes more inclusive in the implantation of mitral valves. Currently, less than 3% of the population receives a mitral valve implant, and a good portion of that is due to a lack of the ability to access and construct the valve. That changes with robotics.
