It was time for another vacation and what better than a beach vacation. More so what better option other than a road trip from Bangalore to Goa. Goa with its vibrant beaches has always fascinated me. So planning one was not that difficult. It was Independence day and a long weekend on offer. So it was no brainer on when to start the trip. We took the Chitradurga highway and on to Western ghats from Dharvad. The Chitradurga highway had some diversions due to flyover construction work. This was irritating on some stretches as the day progressed. Then came the amazing western ghats. The beauty of the Western ghats in Monsoon is just amazing however, the border region between Karnataka and Goa had the most patheitc section of the roads faced in this 600km journey. The roads looked ill planned and seems to have not been maintained for a very long time. With pillars for a potential flyover erected with no signs of the flyover at all. Other than this, the journey overall was smooth on our Mahindra XUV700. Bangalore to Goa road trip is always eventful and if you are travelling during monsoon, you will definitely enjoy the foggy roads through the western ghats. Bangalore to goa road conditions differs from time to time, it is best that you follow recent blogs/vlogs before planning.
