A Volcanic Breccia formation is a rock that is made up of large angular fragments in a matrix of any composition or texture, or it can be made up of non-volcanic fragments in a volcanic matrix.
It can be found in many geological settings, including:
Near volcanic activity: Volcanic eruptions can create volcanic breccia.
Near fault lines: Tectonic activity can create breccia.
At the base of mountains: Landslides and mudslides can create breccia.
