Opening a new show on a cruise ship takes a TON of work and coordination! The technical team, the creative team, the musicians, the vocalists, often times the dancers, the stage crew, the bar staff, and pretty much the entire entertainment department have to work as ONE and in such a short period of time. I wanted to give you an inside look into what really goes into opening a new show on a cruise ship. I learned first-hand what was required when the Norwegian Viva opened it's brand new show, Ocean Music Fest!
